Welcome to The National Center on Time and Learning’s
Database of Expanded-Time Schools
The National Center on Time & Learning has compiled this one-of-a-kind database of U.S. public schools that have been identified as operating with more time per day and/or more days per year than surrounding public schools for all enrolled students.
In addition to basic information about each school (name, location, grades served, etc.), the database includes school schedule information (minutes per day and days per year) and draws from the U.S. Department of Education's Common Core of Data for student demographic data and from the states’ Department of Education websites for student outcomes data.
UPDATE: A subset of schools has also provided more detailed information related to school management, staffing, program features and financing. Administrators from all schools are able to add to or amend their school’s data by clicking on the link that appears in the box in the upper lefthand corner of each individual school page. This information is subject to vetting by NCTL staff to ensure accuracy and consistency.
(Note: Fields where information was not available through these various sources are listed as "unknown.")
